Mayor's Gala for the Arts

2010 is a very exciting year for the Chatham Capitol Theatre as they prepare for the Grand Opening. A 1930’s theme will be incorporated into the evening in celebration of the opening of the original Theatre in October, 1930. There is a full line up of performances for this week beginning with the Mayor’s Gala for the Arts.   More than 200 guests have secured their tickets for this prestigious SOLD OUT event. 

 

 Once again, both live and silent auctions will support the Chatham Capitol Theatre in their efforts to promote arts and culture and attract quality performances. Last year’s auction tables were very appealing to our guests. Please consider donating a unique item for this year’s event and  profile your company.

CONTESTANT SEARCH

 

CONGRATULATIONS! You have taken the first step toward the coveted Queen of the House crown. For many women, participating in a pageant has been a childhood dream.  We can make that dream come true!  This unique inner-beauty pageant is packed with fun from start to finish and will be one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences resulting in personal growth and new friendships. 

 

We are currently LOOKING FOR CONTESTANTS.  If you are a mother between the ages of 35 & 50 years old and reside in Chatham-Kent, this unique fun-filled pageant is for you!  This event sets itself apart from other pageants by focusing on inner-beauty and having fun.  Share your accomplishments and how they have contributed to the person you are today!  All contestants will be recognized and honoured during this year's event.  Who will be selected to be crowned the “Queen of the House” as well as a “Princess”?   Recipients of the Queen and Princess titles will each receive a tiara, sash, cash award and a specialized gift basket representing their distinct titles.

 

To secure your spot as a contestant your REGISTRATION FEE of $150.00 must be received by Ideal Quality Events, 49 Joplyn St RR 4 Chatham ON  N7M 5J4. Include your name, mailing address, phone, email, date of birth and number of children.  Complete details, dates and times will be forwarded once your registration fee has been recieved.
 
All contestants will be recognized and take-part in the following:
  •   Discount Coupon Booklet for businesses and services throughout Chatham-Kent.  Value: $2,000.00
  • Two hour runway/image consulting session with Michelle Craeymeersch  
  • Lunch at The Mansion on Victoria enjoying tasty finger foods, a jewellry party hosted by Michelle Craeymeersch and meet the judges
  • You will partake in the Rehearsal, the Main Event and the After Party with hors d'oeuvres by Casa Bella on the Thames & cash bar.
 
This is an event for the entire family.  They won't want to miss the fun, cheer you on and support you!  General Admission tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children 12 & under and include the After Party (hors d’oeuvres by Casa Bella on the Thames and cash bar).

How can you help?

 

 

Judges - All contestants will be evalulated on a point system by a panel of judges.  Judging criteria and results audited by Geraldine King, CA and Partner with Chrysler Shillington & Co.

 

Contestant Co-ordinators - Two contestant co-ordinators are required to keep everyone organized and on time. 

 

Back Stage Hand - An additonal back stage hand is needed to assist with getting the contestants on and off the stage on cue.

 

Personal Contestant Assistants - Contestants may need assistance with their make-up and hair.  This may be your area of expertise.
